Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister appeals to citizens of state to celebrate Yoga Day at home

In Uttar Pradesh, International Yoga Day is being celebrated across the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already appealed to the citizens of the state to celebrate the Yoga Day at home, saying that the move will help fight the Covid-19 pandemic. The pics and videos of the Yoga sessions will be posted on social media platforms.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, large gatherings are prohibited in the state so people are celebrating the day by doing yoga at home. Various residents’ welfare associations, College students and individuals are doing yoga on the occasion and giving the message of developing strength to fight the Corona infection. Ayush department is organising many competitive programs and has appealed to people to visit ayushup.in. People can upload their yoga videos with hashtags like Yogawith CMYOgi, Yogawithayushup and IYD2021 at different social media platforms.

Webinars will be organized in various districts so that the maximum number of persons can take part in online yoga. Live Yoga sessions are also being organized on Ayush Covid Kavach app which is developed by state AYUSH Department.
