Odisha today crossed the milestone of administering one crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines to the beneficiaries. It includes about 72 lakh beneficiaries, who have been administered with the first dose of the vaccines.
AIR Correspondent reports, with the Union government ensuring supply of COVID-19 vaccines for people above 18 years of age from today, Odisha government has geared itself up to vaccinate about 3 lakh people daily with effect from today itself. In the process, it has been able to administer more than 1 crore vaccine jabs to the beneficiaries ever since the COVID-19 vaccination drive was launched across the nation on the 16th January this year.
Meanwhile, amid the imposition of partial lock down and weekend shut down, across the state, Odisha today reported a positivity rate below 5 per cent after a long gap.
