Maharashtra is the only state in the country which has crossed the milestone of 2.77 crore doses of covid 19 vaccine. More than 2 crore 22 lakh beneficiaries in the state are inoculated with the first dose of covid 19 vaccine.
Vaccination of citizens between the age group of 30 to 44 in government hospitals resumed from Saturday. Eligible citizens are able to pre-register on Cowin app or can register at the vaccination center itself. State’s health department had said that, Union government has given the option to decide preference in vaccination. Accordingly, to avoid crowding, vaccination of citizens between the age group of 30 to 44 resumed from Saturday in government hospitals across the state. In Mumbai also, vaccination drives for the 30 plus age group are being organised while students and divyang’s vaccination is continued as earlier.
Till date, around 1.6 crore citizens above 45 year old, around 31 lakh citizens between the age group of 18 to 44, 12 lakh 45 thousand health care workers and more than 20 lakh frontline workers in Maharashtra are inoculated with the first dose of covid19 vaccine in maharashtra.
