In Euro Cup Football, Croatia and Czech Republic played out a 1-1 draw in the second game of the Euro 2020 in Group ‘D’ at Hampden Park in Scotland last night. Patrick Schick of Czech opened the score in the 37th minute after converting a penalty. In the 47th minute, Croatian footballer Ivan Perisic equalised the score. The draw put Czech Republic top of Group ‘D’ on four points.
Meanwhile, England edged closer to a spot in the last 16 with a goalless draw against neighbours Scotland at a rainswept Wembley. England move on to four points along side the Czech Republic in Group ‘D’, with Scotland collecting their first point of the tournament. Scotland will next take on Croatia at Hampden Park, while England face the Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium. Both fixtures will be played on Tuesday, 22nd of June.
Earlier, the Netherlands qualified for the last 16 after beating Austria 2-0 at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam. In yet another encounter at St. Petersburg last night, Sweden beat Slovakia 1-0.
