Dairy Department agrees in principle to provide about 5 acres of land for NDRF base camp at Mahad district of Maharashtra. Maharashtra Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Sunil Kedar has said that the Dairy Department has agreed in principle to provide about 5 acres of Dairy Department land for NDRF base camp at Mahad district. He was speaking in meeting held yesterday at Mantralaya in Mumbai.
Addressing to the gatherings, Minister further said that due to the emergency situation in the Konkan region, especially in Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts, the state government has submitted a proposal to center to set up a permanent NDRF base camp at Mahad for further approval. Raigad Guardian Minister Aaditi Tatkare demanded permanant NDRF camp at Mahad district of Maharashtra earlier.
