Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurates PSA based Medical Oxygen Generating Plant in Delhi

Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday inaugurated a Pressure Swing Adsorption, PSA based Medical Oxygen Generating Plant at Maharaj Agrasen Hospital in Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi. The plant has been set up by Indraprastha Gas Limited and it can also be used to fill oxygen cylinders. Six more PSA based plants are being set up in Delhi by oil and gas Public Sector Undertakings.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Pradhan said, as guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, PSA based oxygen plants are being set up across the country. He said, this is part of an overall strategy to be ready for any possibility of a third wave of COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The Minister said, the nation came together to meet heightened oxygen demand during the second wave of the pandemic. The steel companies have played a major role by supplying Liquid Medical Oxygen across the country
