Monsoon enters Bihar, a day ahead of its scheduled onset

Monsoon has entered Bihar, a day ahead of its scheduled onset, bringing widespread showers in several districts of the state. Patna Meteorological centre Director Vivek Sinha said, Northeastern districts like Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Araria, Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura received the first bount of southwest monsoon showers.

Patna also witnessed 31 mm rains. According to the Met department, Monsoon will cover the entire state in the next 24 hours.
