In tennis, unseeded Czech Barbora Krejcikova has won her maiden grand slam women’s singles title, beating Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the French Open final. Former doubles world number one Krejcikova defeated 31st seed Pavlyuchenkova 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 at Roland Garros yesterday.
Today, Krejcikova has the chance to win the women’s doubles when she plays in the final alongside Katerina Siniakova against Iga Świątek and Bethanie Mattek-Sands.
In Men’s Doubles, home favourites Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut clinched the title by defeating Alexander Bublik and Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan in the final.
