Karnataka CM Yediyurappa to hold high level meeting on Covid-19 situation

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa will hold a high level meeting today evening with ministers and senior officials on the prevailing Covid 19 situation in the state.

The meeting is also likely to discuss the unlock measures when the lockdown period ends on June 14th.

AIR correspondent reports, Karnataka Health and Medical Education minister Dr. K Sudhakar had said that the unlock process can begin if the positivity rate drops to less than five percent and daily cases come down to 5000.

The state had reported 10,959 new cases with a positivity rate of 6.68 percent.

The experts feel that the new cases will come down gradually.

Hence the Health minister said that the restrictions will be eased in a staggered manner and the Chief Minister will take a decision on the modalities of unlock soon.
