Madras HC says, it cannot pass any judgement with regard to compensation for Covid patients

The Madras High Court today said that it cannot pass any judgement with regard to compensation for Covid patients who have lost their lives. In a case relating to the issue, the Court said that only the Government could take a decision in this matter.

The first Bench of the Court consisting of Chief Justice Sanjeeb Banerjee and Justice Senthil Kumar, said that compensation for death of Covid patients was a subject pertaining to the policy of the State Government and the Court could not interfere.
