Asian shares today traded mixed. However, remained near three month highs as data showing higher U.S. manufacturing activity in May boosted investors sentiment. Investors will be watching U.S. jobs data due Friday for clues to the Fed’s plans for policy in the coming weeks and months.
Japan’s Nikkei-225 climbed half a per cent and South Korea’s KOSPI added 0.1 per cent. On the other hand, Singapore’s Straits Times and China’s Shanghai Composite index, both declined 0.8 per cent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 0.6 per cent.
European shares were marginally up in intra day trade. London’s FTSC-100 and France’s CAC, both gained 0.3 per cent and Germany’s DAX added 0.1 per cent.
