Telangana: AIIMS Bibinagar to soon provide ICU facilities to COVID patients

In Telangana, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bibinagar will soon provide ICU facilities to the COVID patients. The Central Government had sanctioned AIIMS Bibinagar to the state at the time of its formation.

Speaking to AIR Correspondent, the AIIMS Director, Dr Vikas Bhatia informed that the institute has started providing COVID treatment a few days ago with 50 beds and soon it will be scaled up to 200 beds. He said that AIMS Bibinagar is currently doing RTPCR tests for those who have suspected COVID symptoms and  providing COVID -19 vaccines. Dr Bhatia further informed that the Institute has currently 80 medical experts of various departments and supporting staff.
