Andhra Pradesh takes necessary steps for combating COVID 2nd wave

The Government of Andhra Pradesh is taking all necessary steps for combating the second wave of COVID 19 pandemic. A dedicated AP Covid Command Control Room is operating 24/7 for consultation and Crisis management. A record number of One Crore Seventy seven lakh Two Thousand and One hundred  thirty three samples have been tested so far in Andhra Pradesh.

A total number of 22,399 COVID 19 positive cases have been recorded in Andhra Pradesh during the past 24 hours with a death toll of 89 patients. Eighteen Thousand Six hundred Thirty Eight persons have been recovered and discharged from various covid hospitals in the State during the last 24 hours .

The highest number of 3,372 COVID positive cases have been recorded in East Godavari district , followed by Chittoor district with 2646 cases during the last 24 hrs. The AP Government is putting all efforts and assumed various measures to reach all affected through ,track , test and treat mechanisms. Visakhapatnam is one of the vulnerable districts which reports around 2000 cases everyday.

NGOs and children of various educational institutions joined together to help people who are staying in institutional and home isolation to extend services that include providing food at doorsteps, Medical care and assisting patients to undergo tests are motivating many to take up serving people.

Speaking to All India Radio Sigadam Sivaji, DGM Steel Plant of Saluru Old Friends Association(SOFA) mentioned that they have taken up the task of supplying essential commodities to the tribal and working labourers in tribal hamlets. The association is providing infrastructure to Covid hospitals by donating beds, oxygen supply and focussing on various charity works for a decade.
