The ongoing pandemic has impacted the mental health of people. Talking to AIR News, Dr. RP Beniwal, Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Dr RML Hospital, New Delhi said, most of the COVID positive people recover at home with mild symptoms. He said people should not fear thinking of the consequences of getting infected with the virus.
Dr Beniwal said to avoid fear and anxiety one should indulge in the activities of their interest. He added it instantly helps in distracting the mind and easing the anxiety too.
Dr Beniwal said that the people should not fear isolation if they get infected with the virus. Instead they should utilise the period in the activities which they couldn’t do in past.
Dr. Beniwal also suggested that people should do physical activities regularly to keep themselves physically and mentally fit.
