The Chhattisgarh government has decided that not more than ten persons will be allowed to attend marriage ceremonies or funeral in view of spread of COVID infection.
In recent times in Chhattisgarh, it has been seen that one of the major reasons for the spread of corona infection in rural areas of the state is the participation of people in the marriage ceremony.
Taking into consideration these facts, the state government has decided that no more than ten persons will be allowed to attend any marriage ceremony or funeral. The state government has also appealed to religious and social heads to motivate people not to participate in any religious or social events.
Due to the ongoing lockdown, all types of religious and political events are completely banned in Chhattisgarh. In many districts including Balrampur and Surajpur, orders have been issued to cancel all marriage functions till further orders. In Raigarh district, now the Covid test has been made mandatory for the persons attending the wedding ceremony. They will be allowed to attend the ceremony only when their test report is negative.
