PM Modi expresses grief on demise of INA veteran Lalti Ram

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief on the demise of Indian National Army, INA veteran Lalti Ram. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, Lalti Ram Ji’s courage and contributions to India’s freedom struggle will never be forgotten. The Prime Minister recalled his interactions with the INA veteran. Mr Modi said, Greats like him have left an indelible mark on India’s history.

A resident of Jhajjhar in Haryana, 100 year old Lalti Ram passed away today. He was admitted in the INA in 1941 and fought in many countries. He along with three veterans of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army INA had participated in the Republic day Parade 2019.
