Over 16 crore 92 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered in country so far

India has administered over 16 crore 92 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine in the country so far. These include over 95 lakh 39 thousand Healthcare Workers who have taken the 1st dose and more than 64 lakh Health care workers who have taken the 2nd dose. Over one crore 39 lakh Frontline Workers have taken the 1st dose and more than 77 lakh front line workers have taken the 2nd dose.

Union Health Ministry said that more than 18 lakh 93 thousand beneficiaries were inoculated with Covid-19 caccine doses yesterday. Out of which seven lakh 83 thousand beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and more than 11 lakh beneficiaries received 2nd dose of the vaccine.

The Ministry said, two lakh 86 thousand 800 beneficiaries of the age group 18 to 44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine yesterday and cumulatively over 17 lakh 76 thousand across 30 States and Union Territories. The Liberalised and Accelerated Phase-3 Strategy of Covid-19 Vaccination has come into force from 1st of this month.
