Nagaland yesterday recorded the highest single day spike of 333 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the tally to 15,913. The previous highest single day spike was 310 on 11th September last year. While 15 deaths were also reported-14 from Dimapur and 1 in Zunheboto, taking the COVID-19 death toll to 127.
Minister for Health & Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet said the fresh cases detections include 204 in Dimapur, Kohima- 116, Mokokchung- 6, Mon- 4 and one each in Tuensang, Peren and Longleng. Also, 19 positive patients recovered of which 14 from Dimapur, Kohima- 4 and Mokokchung- 1.
The state’s total recovered caseload reached 12,559 while 2,711 patients are still recovering from the disease.
