The Karnataka government has announced a complete lockdown in the state from May 10 to May 24. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced the decision yesterday after holding review meetings with officials in Bengaluru. He said imposing restrictions is essential in the state as the number of Covid deaths are increasing day by day.
According to the guidelines issued by the government, grocery, fruits and vegetable, meat and fish stores will be open from 6 am to 10 am everyday. The milk booths and HOPCOMS vegetable and fruits outlets will be open from 6 am to 6 pm. Eateries can extend parcel service. Takeaway from standalone liquor stores will be allowed between 6 am to 10 am. Delivery of all items through e-commerce portals and home delivery systems will continue.
