Gujarat recorded 12,064 new cases of Covid-19, Death toll reached up to 8154

Gujarat recorded 12,064 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. 13,085 patients recovered during the last 24 hours and were discharged from the hospitals. AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that Maximum 3744 new cases of Covid19 reported from Ahmedabad, while Surat recorded 903 new cases. 119 patients lost their lives yesterday. With these, the death toll due to Covid19 in the state has reached up to 8154.

Gujarat has now 1 lakh 46 thousand 385 active cases at present, out of which 775 patients are on ventilator. Meanwhile, 1 lakh 84 thousand 659 persons were vaccinated in the state yesterday. Now, Gujarat has vaccinated 1 crore 32 lakh 14 thousand 916 persons till now. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has launched a drive through vaccination center at Sardar Patel Stadium in Navrangpura from today. Similar drive through vaccination centers have also been organized in Bhuj and Gandhinagar.
