In Chhattisgarh, a unique initiative has been taken by the state government to prevent the spread of corona infection in rural areas of the state. A free kit of medicines is being made available to people with CoVID symptoms in the villages. AIR Raipur correspondent reports that in the rural areas of Chhattisgarh, the health department has so far provided medicine kits to about 7 lakh people, who have symptoms of corona infection.
This kit contains medicines that are usually given to Covid patients. This kit is given by the health workers and Mitanins to the suspected Covid patients. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel applauded the role of health workers and Mitanin in containing the spread of corona infection in rural areas. He said that every Mitanin should always have five kits of prescribed medicines, so that it can be given to suspected Covid patients whenever needed.
This initiative to provide medicine kit free of cost to the persons with Covid-19 symptoms has led to desired results in some districts including capital Raipur and Durg. These districts are showing early sign of reduction in Covid-19 cases.
