Telangana reports 5,892 fresh cases of COVID-19

Telangana reported 5 thousand 892 fresh COVID cases during the last 24 hours. The state government in its COVID Bulletin stated that currently there are over 73 thousand eight hundred active cases in the state. The number of COVID cases reported so far has gone up to 4 lakh 81 thousand 640.

The recovery rate improved to 84.12 percent from 82.9 percent two days ago as nine thousand, 122 more people recovered from the disease. This took the total recoveries in the state to over four lakh, five thousand 164. Meanwhile, 46 more people died due to COVID and other comorbidities during the past 24 hours taking the toll to two thousand 625.

The GHMC area reported 1104 fresh COVID cases during the last 24 hours.
Over 80 thousand people have been vaccinated yesterday. With this, the number vaccinated people in the state crossed the 50 lakh mark in the state. Over 50 lakh 39 thousand including those who are above the age of 45 years have been vaccinated so far in the state.
