Three Al-Badr terrorists killed, one surrender in J&K’s Shopian district

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, three terrorists of Al-Badr terror outfit were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kanigam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district early this morning. One newly recruited terrorist also surrendered before the security forces.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police official sources said that the joint security forces had laid a Cordon and Search Operation based on the intelligence input about the presence of terrorists in Kanigam area. The terrorists were asked to surrender but they fired and lobbed grenade on the joint search party. In the retaliatory fire, three terrorists were killed. Meanwhile, search operation in the area was continuing when reports last came in.
