New and active Corona cases declining in Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, new and active Corona patients are declining. Now the state has started preparation for the third wave of Coronavirus. AIR correspondent reports that in order to increase oxygen availability, Maharashtra government has announced Mission Oxygen. Maharashtra’s daily demand for oxygen is 1700 Metric Tonnes. Out of which 1200 metric tonnes is produced in the state and remaining is imported from other states. Now the state has targeted to produce 3 thousand metric tonnes of oxygen on a daily basis. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has ordered district administrations to set up oxygen plants in each district.

Many children and teens are tested positive in 2nd Wave of Covid19 due to which Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation has decided to set up a separate 700 bed Pediatric ward as preparation for 3rd wave. It will have 700 beds including Neonatal ICU, pediatric ICU and special beds for infants.
