In Gujarat, ruling BJP candidate Nimishaben Suthar has won the Morva Hadaf assembly seat that went to by-poll last month. She has defeated her nearest Congress rival Sureshbhai Katara by a huge margin of 45,432 votes. Morva Hadaf ST reserve seat in Panchmahal district had witnessed by-poll as outgoing independent MLA Bhupendra Khant was disqualified as his certificate of Schedule Tribe was found invalid. With this win, the strength of BJP in the 182 member state assembly has reached 112.
