Haryana govt imposes week-long lockdown in state from today

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced complete lockdown from today till 9th May all over the State in view of rising cases of COVID 19. The Chief Minister made the announcement while talking to media yesterday.

Talking to AIR News, Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said, the lockdown will be for a week starting from today and decision has been taken to break the Corona chain. AIR correspondent reports that, in Haryana complete lockdown has come into force from today. Police is ensuring following of guidelines and orders issued for lockdown. Only those persons are coming out who are allowed to move due to nature of their job or those, who are involved in essential services. Haryana Health and Home Minister Anil Vij has said, the decision has been taken in view of the rising cases of Covid-19 and to break the Covid chain. He appealed to the people to cooperate and stay in the homes so that the safety of all citizens could be ensured.
