Telangana reports 5,567 fresh COVID-19 cases during last 24 hrs

Telangana reported 5,567 fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours.

According to the State Covid Bulletin, 23 more persons succumbed to COVID-19 and other comorbidities taking the death toll in the state to 18 hundred 99.

While the recovery rate further dipped to 86.16 percent from over 98 per cent a month ago, 2,251 more people recovered from COVID.

This took the total recoveries in the state to 3,21,788.

The state has currently over 49 thousand active cases.

The number of COVID cases reported in the state so far has gone up to 3,73, 468.

Meanwhile, the GHMC area reported 989 fresh COVID cases during the past 24 hours.

Medchal Malkajgiri and Rangareddy reported over four hundred cases each while Nizamabad district reported over three hundred cases during the same time.

About 20 other districts reported fresh cases between hundred and two hundred each.

Meanwhile, over one lakh 22 thousand people have been vaccinated on a single day on Wednesday in the state.

With this, over 33 lakh 91 thousand people have been vaccinated so far in the state.
