Govt terms media reports claiming that export of Oxygen from country rose over 700 per cent in January this year as false

Government has termed media reports claiming that export of Oxygen from the country rose over 700 per cent in January this year as false.  Press Information Bureau, PIB has said Industrial Oxygen Exports in these reports have been mistaken as Medical Oxygen.

It further added that annual exports of Medical Oxygen in the last fiscal was in fact less than even 0.4 per cent of the annual production capacity with absolutely no exports happening in the present.
