Karnataka reports 15 thousand 7 hundred and 85 new cases of COVID-19

In Karnataka, 15 thousand 7 hundred and 85  new cases of COVID-19 were recorded during the last 24 hours taking the total number of active cases to One lakh 42 thousand and 84. According to the health bulletin released by the Department of Health and Family Welfare 146 people lost their lives due to the infection yesterday.

Bengaluru Urban continues to record the highest positive cases in the state. Nine thousand 6 hundred and 18 cases were reported  and 97 people succumbed to death in Bengaluru Urban yesterday.

Around 7 thousand and 98 persons were recovered from the infection and discharged from hospitals in the state during the last twenty four hours. The positivity rate stands at 12.81 per cent and fatality rate has risen to 0.92 per cent.  Meanwhile, 71 lakh 17 thousand 4 hundred and five vaccination doses have been administered so far.
