Himachal Pradesh govt orders closure of all educational institutions till 1st of next month

In Himachal Pradesh, all educational institutions including schools, colleges  and universities will remain closed till 1st of next month in view of sharp rise in covid cases. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jairam Thakur with senior officers to review the Covid-19 situation yesterday. It was also decided that faculty of schools, colleges and universities will not come for duty till 1st of next month. State government has also decided to put complete restrictions on transfers of field functional staff.

The Chief Minister said he recently visited three districts of the State and took stock of the Covid-19 situation. The state Cabinet meeting will be held on Thursday to take a few more decisions to contain the spread of Covid-19 virus.
