West Bengal govt forms 4-member Task Force on augmentation of covid beds in private hospitals

The West Bengal government forms a 4-member Task Force on augmentation of covid beds in private hospitals and  nursing homes to mitigate the surging impact of  covid19 cases in the state.

Sanjay Bansal, Secretary in Health & Family Welfare Dept to chair the task force & act as State Nodal Officer. Besides that,  Rt-pcr test is made mandatory for the people coming from other states.Governor  Shri Jagdip dhankhar asked the people to obey the rules and regulations imposed by the government.

It could be mentioned that West Bengal reported the highest single day spike of 7713 covid cases yesterday as the total covid-19 cases crossed 6 lakhs 51 thousand with 34 fresh fatalities. Kolkata registered a record one-day jump of 1998  and 10 deaths while North 24 Parganas reported 1639 fresh cases with 8 fatalities in the last 24 hours.
