Chhattisgarh records 16,083 new coronavirus cases

Chhattisgarh recorded the biggest daily surge in Covid cases in a single day with 16,083 new cases yesterday. Almost one lakh new Corona infection cases added to the total caseload during the last one week. Currently, 1,30,400 people are being treated in hospitals or in-home isolation. During the last 24 hours, 138 people died due to the infection in Chhattisgarh.

Governor Anusuiya Uikey has appealed to the people to adopt Covid Appropriate behaviour. She said that to curb the spread of corona infection, people should follow the government guidelines and take proper precautions. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singhdeo said that to overcome the shortage of Remdesivir injection in the state, the Health Department has ordered the supply of 90 thousand injections.

Meanwhile, the police are taking action against those who are involved in black marketing of Remdesivir injection.
