Telangana reports over 4,000 fresh cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hours

In Telangana, surge in the number of COVID cases continued in the state. The state has reported record number of Four thousand, Four hundred, Forty-Six fresh cases during the past 24 hours. With 14 hundred 14 more people recovering from COVID-19, the total recoveries in the state have gone up to Three lakh, 11 thousand, Eight.

This brought down the recovery rate 89.8 per cent from over 98 per cent about a month ago. According to the State Covid Bulletin, 12 more persons succumbed to COVID-19 and other comorbidities taking the total death toll in the state to 18 hundred Nine. The state has currently over 33 thousand active cases and over 22 thousand of them are in home isolation. The number of COVID cases reported in the state so far has gone up to Three lakh, 46 thousand, Three hundred 31.

Meanwhile, the GHMC area reported 598 fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours. Medchal Malkajgiri district reported over four hundred while Rangareddy and Nizamabad districts reported over three hundred cases each. Sangareddy, Jagityal, Nirmal, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar, Khammam, Mancheryal and Warangal Urban districts reported a considerably high number of fresh cases each.

Meanwhile, over one lakh 75 thousand people have been vaccinated on a single day yesterday in the state. The number of vaccination centres also increased to 1468. With this, over 28 lakh people have been vaccinated so far in the state.
