Jharkhand: Polling for Madhupur by-election begins, 6 candidates in the fray

In Jharkhand, polling for Madhupur by-election has begun from 7 in the morning at 487 polling booths in the Assembly constituency. A total of Six candidates including one from Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and one from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) are in fray for the by-polls.

The Madhupur Assembly seat got vacant after the death of former Jharkhand Minority Welfare Minister Haji Hussain Ansari last year due to COVID-19. Three lakh 22 thousand 90 voters will cast their vote today at polling booths. Deoghar district administration has made adequate arrangements for successful conduct of the by-polls.
