Assam Education Minister hints, metric exams to be held as per schedule

In Assam, the Education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hinted that the metric examinations will be held as per schedule. Talking to newspersons in Guwahati, the Minister said that the Model Code of Conduct is being enforced in the state and any decision in this regard would be taken by the new government.

He said that as of now no decision was taken on postponing the examination. The Secondary Education Board of Assam, SEBA also said that there is no plan to postpone the metric examination as of now.

Talking to AIR, the Chairman of the SEBA Ramesh Chandra Jain said that metric examination will be held as per schedule from 11th of May. He however said that the situation will be reviewed after a week if required.
