Many States are witnessing a sudden spike in the number of infections which is largely due to non-compliance of Covid Appropriate Behaviour like wearing masks, hand hygiene and maintaining social distancing. Having correct information is key to fight this pandemic. The Government has created several avenues where people can approach for correct information and assistance in case of infection or any symptoms.
A toll-free 24×7 national helpline number 1075 is in service to address queries related to the Covid-19 and for medical assistance in case of emergency. In case of any symptoms like high fever, dry cough and breathing difficulties people should immediately consult doctors. For any technical enquiry with respect to COVID-19, people can email on firstname.lastname@example.org. Aarogya Setu Mobile Application is also playing an important role in management of the pandemic. Aarogya Setu IVRS 1921 is also available Pan-India and it is a toll free service. Citizens need to give a missed call to the number 1921 and they will receive a call back requesting for inputs regarding their health status. The input received is made part of the Aarogya Setu database and information is processed to send s to the citizen on the action to be taken to ensure their safety. The service is available in 11 regional languages.
In National Capital, Delhi Government’s separate helpline numbers 1031 and 1800-111-747 are also working to provide assistance to deal with Covid-19. A mobile app named Delhi Corona is also a service where people can get information on availability of beds and ventilators in the city’s hospitals.
For Vaccination, people can visit Co-Win portal and download the Aarogya Setu app to get themselves registered for Covid vaccines and related information.
