The movie depicts the struggle of a family in Britain and how the spouse does her best to shoulder the responsibility to provide financial stability and make the ends meet.
Although, “SORRY WE MISSED YOU” is a tale of a family from Britain struggling through a gig economy, it is something which every individual would associate themselves with.
There comes a phase where the instability of finding a secure job looms large and the mind is pre-occupied to make the ends meet. The man in the family is at the centre-stage as the onus is on him to ensure that family members face no difficulty.
The protagonist is Kris Hitchen who plays the role of Ricky. Ricky has been hired as a delivery driver for a courier firm. However, even after receiving enormous support from his wife Abby, the role played by Debbie Honeywood, there is no end to the pitfalls that come in the way of Ricky.
Hoping for the best, his persistent struggle continues even after being hit severely by goons and an unkind employer
