IFFI 2019 to showcase best of films, honor greatest filmmakers

The Golden Jubilee edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) began this week. It will showcase the best of films and honor the greatest filmmakers. French actor Isabelle Huppert was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award this time. Here is a report on her Masterclass, the Actor’s Connect

AIR correspondent reports that IFFI has a tradition of conferring its Highest honour to the best performers-The Lifetime achievement award. This time, the winner is one of the most famous and most popular French actresses of her generation, Isabelle Huppert.

She is being honored for her outstanding journey and contribution to Cinema. Isabelle has starred in more than a hundred films since her debut in 1971. She won the César Award for Best Actress twice and has been nominated for it a whopping 16 times.

Ms. Huppert was also nominated for Golden Globe and Oscar for her role in Elle.

Ms. Huppert also conducted a well-attended Master Class under ” The Actors Connect” Project in Goa last evening. She told cine-journalist Anupama Chandra that a film director holds key to her natural performance.

Isabelle added that “You do the film, but you are being done by the film.
