In the fiftieth episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had shared the reason for choosing radio medium for his address to the nation.
He had said that it was radio that had broken the news of Pokhran nuclear test during the tenure of the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in a tea stall.
Prime Minister Mr Modi had said that watching that particular effect of the news on radio led him to realize and internalise that this was a medium that was truly connected with the masses and that in terms of the reach and depth of communication, radio has been incomparable.
