Public perception of Mann Ki Baat

On the 3rd of October, 2014, the pious occasion of Vijayadashmi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked upon a journey with the citizens through the medium of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

The Prime Minister will resume his address on the 30th of this month.

In the fiftieth episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had shared the reason for choosing radio medium for his address to the nation.

He had said that it was radio that had broken the news of Pokhran nuclear test during the tenure of the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in a tea stall.

Prime Minister Mr Modi had said that watching that particular effect of the news on radio led him to realize and internalise that this was a medium that was truly connected with the masses and that in terms of the reach and depth of communication, radio has been incomparable.

Professor of Computer Science serving in KLE Education Society of Hubli in North Karnataka shares his views on Mann Ki Baat programme.

In the 50th episode of Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister had said that when he became the Prime Minister, it was natural for him to turn towards a strong, effective medium that is radio to reach out to masses.

The programme is much beloved today across the country.
