Mann Ki Baat impact on Yoga

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will share his thoughts with the people in the country and abroad in his Mann Ki Baat programme on All India Radio this Sunday.

It will be the first Mann Ki Baat programme after Mr Modi assumed office for the second term.

Our correspondent reports, the Prime Minister has been raising several important issues through the monthly programme which is aired on the last Sunday of every month on 11 AM.

In his Mann Ki Baat programme on 24th of June last year, the Prime Minister spoke on the benefits of Yoga. Mr Modi had said, Yoga has broken barriers of caste, creed and geography to unite the people of the entire world.

Talking to AIR, Director of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Dr Ishvar Basavaraddi said people are practising yoga on a daily basis as it is offering them immense health benefits. He said the young generation is getting several job opportunities through Yoga.
