In a surprise visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Leh early this morning.  Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief MM Naravane also accompanied the PM on his day long visit to Leh.  The Prime Minister was briefed by Personnel of the Army, Air Force and ITBP at a forward position in Nimu amid ongoing tension with China.  We now go over live to Leh, where Prime Minister is addressing the jawans of Army, Airforce and ITBP.

The Prime Minister said that their sacrifice and courage are incomparable and empower the country. Prime Minister paid his tribute to the brave soldiers martyred in Galwan Valley. He said the Courage of the soldiers is higher than the peaks they are guarding. 


Prime Minister said that the courage, valor and dedication of Indian army  to protect the honor of Mother India  is incomparable.


Addressing the soldiers at Nimo, Mr Modi said that thier courage is higher than the heights where they are posted today. He said, through the bravery which has been shown by the soldiers, a message has gone to the entire world about India’s strength.


Mr Modi said that The bravery of 14 Corps will be talked about everywhere and the tales of the bravery and valour exhibited are echoing in every house in the country. He said,  enemies of this  country  have seen the fire and fury of our armed forces. He said, this land in Ladakh is India’s crown and It has given several brave hearts to the nation.


The Prime Minister said, those who are weak can never initiate peace as  bravery is a pre-requisite for peace. He said, whether during World Wars or during peace times, whenever the need arises, the world has seen the victory of our bravehearts and their efforts towards peace. He said, we Indians have worked for the betterment of the humanity.

Indian Council of Medical Research, ICMR is planning to launch indigenous Covid-19 vaccine for public use by the 15th of August after completion of all clinical trials. ICMR has partnered with Bharat Biotech International Limited to develop this path breaking, Covid-19 vaccine.


ICMR has asked Bharat Biotech to fast track the clinical trial mechanism and ensure that the subject enrolment is initiated by 7th of July.
