Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with school students tomorrow at 11 am in his 'Pariksha Pe Charcha-2020 programme. The event will be held at Talkatora Stadium in the National Capital. Over two thousand students, parents and teachers will be participating from all over the country. Mr Modi will answer questions and interact with students on how they can beat examination stress. Students, teachers and parents are eagerly awaiting this programme.

In January last year, during the second edition of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha', the Prime Minister asked students not to waste time and to improve their time management as time is a very valuable asset.

"Time Manegement यह हमारे अपने हाथ की बात होती है। हम इसको बड़ी आसानी से कर सकते हैं और इसके लिए कोई बड़े एमबीए बहुत बड़ी आक्सफोर्ड की किताब पढ़ना कोई जरूरी नहीं है। आप  simply अपने यहां घर काम आने वाली महिला को जरा ओबजर्ब कीजिए इन दिनों एक ही परिवार में  घर काम करने वाली  जो लोग होते हैं वो बहुत ही कम होते हैं। वे दस बारह घरों में काम लेते हैं और उनको पता होता है कि इनके घर में 7 बजे बर्तन साफ करना, उनके घरों में 9 बजे बर्तन साफ करना होता है उनके घर में 11 बजे कपड़े धोने होते हैं। उनके घर में 12 बजे किचन में जाना होता है। लेकिन बिल्कुल उनका Time Manegement उनका परफैक् होगा। वो तीन-चार बजे तक जितने परिवार में सेवा करती हैं या करता है। वो बिल्कुल परफैक्  Time Manegement से करते हैं कि नहीं करते हैं। हमने आर्ब्जब नहीं किया उसको यानी जिसने स्कूल देखे नहीं हैं क्लास देखा नहीं है। लेकिन उसको भी समझ है। मेरे समय को मैं ऐसे बांटू आप आर्ब्जब कीजिए जो लोग सफल होते हैं। जो हंसते खेलते काम कर रहे हैं। उनको समय का कोई दवाब नहीं होता है। सब perfact चलता है टाइम इज मनी, टाइम इज मनी हम सुनते आए हैं। लेकिन उसी को सबसे ज्यादा बर्बाद करने का प्रभाव हम तय करें। कुछ रह जाए तो रह जाए समय बर्बाद नहीं होने दूंगा।"

The National immunization day was observed today. With an aim to maintain the NO POLIO status, a nationwide programme to administer polio drops to children below 5 years of age was organised throughout the country.  President Ram Nath Kovind launched the Pulse Polio Programme for this year by administering Polio drops to children below the age of five at Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday.

In Puducherry, chief minister Narayanasamy launched the  Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) programme in the union territory today. Around 82,000 children were administered polio drops through 452 centres throughout the union territory. Health department sources said, this immunization programme would be held for the next two days to cover all the left out children by door to door visit. The programme is a part of the immunization drive of the Central Government to sustain polio eradication from the country.


Visiting Union Ministers continued their mission of a special Public Outreach Programme in Jammu and Kashmir on the second day today. Nine Union Ministers visited ten blocks of six districts in Jammu Division to meet people on ground and seek their feedback on various developmental initiatives and schemes. The ministers also held public interactions with local people, elected representatives of Panchayats and Block Development Councils to take note of their grievances with an aim to redress them. "The Ministers who visited different blocks of Jammu Division today listed the initiatives of the Central Government in their public interactions, particularly those taken after the abrogation of Article 370. Smriti Irani, Mahendra Nath Pandey, Arjun Ram Meghwal, V Muraleedharan, Anurag Singh Thakur, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Piyush Goyal, Ashwani Choubey and RK Singh who met people in different areas assured them that all bottlenecks hampering the development and welfare in Jammu and Kashmir are being removed with true commitment.  The ministers said, Kashmir was and is very close to the heart of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying under his leadership, government is resolved to fast pace the development in the Union Territory, which is witnessing a renewed growth and development in various sectors.Naseer Rather, AIR News Jammu."


Aam Aadmi Party national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today launched the party's Guarantee Card ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in the national capital. He said in the coming 5 years, AAP will ensure 24 hours drinking water supply to every household and a pollution free Delhi. He also said students will be given free bus services and affordable homes will be provided to the needy.


Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said, the Centre would spend over a hundred lakh crore rupees in the next five years in the country’s infrastructure. Delivering the Nani Palkhivala Centenary lecture in Chennai this evening, she said, the target of India becoming a five trillion-dollar economy is not just abstract thinking but a practical one. She said, the Government would do a facilitator-role for all stakeholders in achieving the target. She said proper governance would be firmly in place without exerting undue pressure on any section. She stressed that the Modi Government is believes not in incremental growth but in transformative growth.


Nineteen Indians kidnapped by pirates from a commercial vessel from the high seas off the western coast of Africa last month, have been released while one died in their captivity. The Indian seafarers were kidnapped from the vessel MT Duke on 15th of last month. The Indian High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria said in a tweet that the Government of India and the Mission gave this the highest priority and worked with the  Nigerian government for the release of Indian seafarers. The Indian High Commission said, the Mission is assisting in their speedy return.


The flag-draped coffins of 11 Ukrainians, who died in a plane mistakenly shot down by Iran amid heightened tensions with Washington, reached Kiev today.

President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Oleksiy Goncharuk and other officials attended the solemn ceremony at Kiev's Boryspil airport.The Kiev-bound UIA Boeing 737, crashed shortly after taking off from Tehran on January 8, killing all 176 people on board, mostly Iranian and Canadian citizens. Iran admitted that it had mistakenly shot down the plane.


In the Khelo India youth games in Guwahati, Maharashtra dominated the Kho Kho events by winning all the 4 Gold medals in the under 17 and under 21 boys and girls categories. Maharashtra is leading the overall medal tally with 60 gold followed by Haryana with 45 gold. Assam is in 6th position in the medal tally with 13 gold. More from our correspondent:

"Captain of the girls under 17 team Deeksha said , it was the team performance that helped in winning the Gold medal this year also.

In wrestling, Harayana grabbed the maximum medals. On the other hand, spectators witnessed some thrilling contests in swimming today. Local girl Shivangi clinched her 4th gold ,Maharashtra's Mihir Ambre got the gold in 100 meter butterfly. Mihir now aims to qualify for the Olympics .

In cricket, India defeated Australia by 7 wickets in the  third and final ODI at Bengaluru and clinched the series 2-1. Opting to bat first, Australia posted a competitive total of 286 for nine from their quota of 50 overs. In reply, India scored 289 for 3 in 47.2 overs. Skipper Virat Kohli scored 89.  Rohit Sharma slammed his 29th One-Day International century in the ongoing third match. Today's ton was Rohit's  8th century against Australia in the ODI format.  He also  became the third fastest batsman to score 9,000 runs in the 50-over format as he  went past the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and  Sourav Ganguly to achieve the feat.


In the 7th edition of Mumbai marathon today, 22-year-old Ethiopian national, Derrara Hurisa, broke the event record for the full marathon elite category. He finished the marathon in just 2 hours 8 minutes and 9 seconds and emerged the winner. Ayele Abshero and Birhanu Teshome came in second and third in the category. In the half marathon category, Uttar Pradesh's Parul Choudhary came victorious while Mumbai's Aarti Patil comes in second and Nasik's Monica secured the third spot. Earlier, fifty five thousand runners including foreign nationals participated in the Marathon which began amidst chilly morning.


In wrestling, India has returned with seven medals from the Rome Ranking Series. Bajrang Punia and  Ravi  Kumar Dahiya  claimed gold medals in the tournament last night. Earlier, Vinesh Phogat won a gold and Anshu Malik a silver in the women's competition. In Greco-roman, Gurpreet Singh won a gold, Sunil Kumar settled for a silver while Sajan Bhanwal got a bronze.
