The Army today said, it has eliminated the top leadership of Jaish-e-Muhammad in Kashmir in less than 100 hours of the Pulwama terror attack on the CRPF convoy. The commander of the 15th Corps, Lt General K S Dhillon was briefing media in Srinagar on yesterday's encounter in Pinglena area of Pulwama district.

"I am happy to inform the country that in less than 100 hours, we eliminated the JeM leadership in the valley which was being handled by JeM from Pakistan. The details of the terrorists killed are - two Pakistani terrorists and one local conduit."

Lt General Dhillon said, the JeM leadership based in Pakistan and supported by ISI was behind the CRPF convoy attack. He said, Kamran, the top commander of the JeM which carried out the attack on the CRPF convoy in Lethpora area of Pulwama on the 14th of this month has been eliminated.

Lt General Dhillon warned those picking up the gun in Kashmir of elimination, unless they surrender.

India has asked Pakistan to stop misleading the international community and take credible and visible action against the perpetrators of the Pulwama terrorist attack and other terrorists and terror groups operating from areas under its control.
Briefing Media, External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar today said, New Delhi is not surprised with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's refusal to acknowledge the attack on Indian security forces in Pulwama as an act of terrorism.

"It is a well known fact that Jaish-e-Muhammad and its leader Masood Azhar  are based in Pakistan. This should be sufficient for Pakistan to take action. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has offered to investigate the matter if India provides proof. This is a lame excuse. In the horrific attack in Mumbai on 26/11, proof was provided to Pakistan despite this the case has not progressed for the last more than 10 years. Likewise, on the terror attack on Pathankot airbase, there has been no progress. Promises of guaranteed action, ring hollow, given the track record of Pakistan."
