We should be proud of our culture; tradition: UP CM

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that we should be proud of our culture and tradition. Addressing the valedictory session of Gyan Kumbh at Haridwar in Uttarakhand today, he said that India had given the world the concept of zero, decimal etc centuries ago. He said we should include our ancient knowledge into curriculum.

The two-day Gyan Kumbh was organized jointly by Uttarakhand Government and Patanjali Yogpeeth at Patanjali University. Minister of Higher Education of Uttarakhand, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that the education of Yoga and Vedas in Sanskrit University will be made compulsory. 

He said that a 3-day training camp will be organized to include the Indian knowledge tradition in its course. Dr Rawat said that Study centers will be set up for the promotion of Garhwali and Kumaoni language.
