Veteran journalist Rajanath Singh 'Surya' died in Lucknow

In Uttar Pradesh, veteran journalist and former Rajya Sabha Member Rajanath Singh 'Surya' died in Lucknow today. He was 82. Mr Surya had worked in various newspapers and he was a well-known columnist.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his deepest condolences on the demise of the veteran journalist. He said that Surya was a colossus figure in the area of journalism and it is a great loss for the state and country.

His mortal remains will be handed over to King George's Medical University in Lucknow as he had made a will to donate his body to the institution.
