UP CM announces Rs 50 lakh ex gratia to family of constable killed in stone pelting in Ghazipur

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced financial assistance of 50 lakh rupees to the family of a police constable who died of stone pelting in Ghazipur district.

The Chief Minister said, one member of the family will be given government job, while the victim's wife will be given extraordinary pension. Constable Suresh Pratap Vats was hit by protestors' stone and died while trying to clear a road.

Police have taken eight people in custody and trying to nab some others. Chief Minister expressed deep sorrow on the death of Constable has instructed strict action against offenders.
