Tamil Nadu: Vaigai Dam in Theni district to be opened for irrigation on Sept 27

In Tamil Nadu, the Vaigai Dam in Theni district will be opened for irrigation on coming Sunday. The state Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy has said in a statement that water will be released from the dam for 120 days.

It is expected to benefit more than one lakh acres of agricultural lands in Madurai, Dindigul and Sivaganga districts.
