Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that no stations of All India Radio will be closed, downgraded or converted into relay centres.

Speaking to media in New Delhi, Mr Javadekar said, there is a deliberate attempt by somebody to spread rumors and fake news that Government is closing certain AIR stations.

He said, Government is not doing anything like this and it is very clear.

The Minister said, Government is strengthening the radio system and will strengthen it further.
