New Zealand wins second test against India by seven wickets

In Cricket, New Zealand have won the second Test against India by seven wickets in less than three days at Christchurch today sweeping the two-match series.  
 
India were all out for 124 in their second innings leaving New Zealand to chase 132 runs. The hosts completed the job with openers Tom Latham who scored 52 while Tom Blundell added 55 runs.

Earlier, resuming the third day on 90 for six, India lost overnight batsmen Hanuma Vihari for nine and Rishabh Pant for four runs early. For the hosts, lead pacer Trent Boult finished with impressive figures of four for 28 and his new-ball partner Tim Southee took three wickets for 36 runs. India had scored 242 in their first innings and New Zealand were all out for 235 to give the visitors a slender seven-run lead.


The visitors had lost the first Test by 10 wickets at Wellington.
