NCP MLA Rohit Pawar welcomes PM’s appeal to light a lamp this Sunday

Nationalist Congress Party MLA Rohit Pawar has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to citizens to light a lamp this Sunday. In a tweet, Pawar has said everyone should welcome the thought as the Prime Minister is aiming to bring the country together. He added that citizens should replace their DPs on social media accounts with the Indian flag.

Meanwhile, Bollywood too has endorsed the idea and urged people to wholeheartedly carry out the task as one unit. Bollywood stars like Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and veteran actor Hema Malini took to twitter to support the initiative asking fans to stand united in this fight against Coronavirus.

In a video message yesterday morning, the Prime Minister urged people to switch off the lights at their homes and light up lamps, candles or torches for nine minutes at 9 p.m. this Sunday to display the country's collective resolve to defeat COVID-19.
